At Electric Diner, we’re Erika Puckering and Jamie Ewing- a mom and pop team brought together by a love of good food, family, and the nostalgia of the 80s. Jamie’s culinary journey, from Vancouver to Australia to Toronto, brings bold, elevated comfort food to the menu, while Erika’s background in brand-building, visual presentation, and immersive guest experiences has shaped the vibrant, transportive world you step into the moment you walk through our doors.
From day one in 2019, the goal was to create something completely different - an experience as much as a restaurant. A place where the design makes you feel like you’re back to a time when hoverboards were the future, talking aliens were your roommates, every sitcom had a swinging kitchen door, and you knew all of your friends’ phone numbers by heart. Paired with bright, fun cocktails, really good coffee, homemade elevated diner classics, and electrifying burgers, Electric Diner quickly became more than a place to eat - it became a destination, drawing guests from across the city and beyond.
We’re proud to have built a strong, recognizable brand- one that was honoured with the Small Business Achievement Award from the Chamber of Commerce in 2023 and recognized through the FirstOntario 1 Awards in 2025 as one of Hamilton’s leading brands.
